The Scholastic Assessment Test, earlier known as Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a standardized entry level exam for those wanting to secure admission in for undergraduate level courses in US or other countries. This test scores are accepted for many colleges and universities in US as well. The test intends to aid the undergraduate students to assess the potential of the applicants for advanced study. The examination is entirely paper-based test. The maximum test score is 1600. The score in SAT exam alone does not guarantee admission into a school- the test score will be one of the major factors that will help you to pursue admission in your dream school. The SAT exams comprises of the following sections:- Mathematics, Reading Test and Writing and Language Test.

SAT Scores

The duration of SAT exam is 3 hours 55 minutes(with essay) & 3 hours(without essay).The SAT score are valid for five years and you can take SAT exams as many times you want. The marking scheme of SAT is as follows:-

• Mathematics:- 200-800
• Reading – 200-800
• Essay is scored separately- 2-8
• The entire SAT test score ranges from 400-1600
